Rudi’s Gluten Free Bakery Review and Giveaway

I had never heard of Rudi’s Gluten Free Bakery before I was given the opportunity to review it.  I knew I liked their bread  even before I tried it. Here are some important selling points I noticed:

-Organic and free of pesticides, radiation, and best of all, free of GMOs.

-The ingredients are foods, with no chemicals or derivatives. No dextrose. No soy lecithin. Awesome.

-Gluten free, casein free, soy free, nut free. Excellent. Note: it does contain yeast, corn, and eggs.

-90 calories per slice. When diets are limited by more than one allergens, it can be hard to get in all the calories you need, especially with kids. 90 calories is a perfect amount for a slice of bread.

-Guaranteed to be gluten free and yummy….which means if you call and say you don’t like it, they’ll send you your money back. More and more companies are dropping their guarantees so I’m a big fan products that support their work.

The taste test: Rudi’s bread is soft, fluffy, and holds together really well for sandwiches and French toast. This is pretty significant because a lot of brands that offer gluten free bread aren’t fooling anyone with their “bread.”  We tried multigrain and cinnamon raisin, and they were both delicious- even to my picky toddlers. Their line also includes hamburger and hotdog buns, pizza crusts, and white bread, which we have not tried.

It’s good to know there are gluten-free organic options. Until now, I didn’t know there was a sandwich bread that was both organic and gluten free. It really is a pleasure to support companies that understand that people want to feed their families wholesome natural ingredients without pesticides or high fructose corn syrup. Today it seems like more and more companies are trying to trick us into eating things that are bad for us in an effort to please the bottom line. I get the sense that Rudi’s interest is making a quality product that we can enjoy without worrying. If you’re interested in trying Rudi’s Bread, here is a link to a one dollar off coupon.
