Laundry Laughs – Hubby’s Pockets

I run into a lot of crazy things as a mom. But one thing that never ceases to amaze me is how much junk my husband can carry around in his pockets!

Look at what I found in Nate’s pockets when I did a recent load of laundry:

There’s a box cutter, paint can opener, a single ear plug, and a hair band.
I’ve seen worse, but this one had me laughing. Especially with the hair band. He claims Emily gave it to him.

What’s the funniest/oddest thing you’ve found while doing laundry?

  1. Wow, that’s some random stuff! I never fine anything interesting, just coins. I consider them my tip!

  2. The strangest things usually come out of my 20 month old son’s pockets… he likes to collect things… hubby is usually pretty good about cleaning out his pockets

Ugh! The worst thing I’ve found is ink pens my husband left in his pockets and ran through the washer and dryer. The washer usually isn’t bad, but the dryer heat makes the ink spread ALLLLLLL over the dryer wall and the clothes.

It’s happened more than once. :(

I find pretty normal things in my kids pockets when I do laundry, small toys, candy wrappers, pieces of paper, pens and pencils. I have to say the strangest and most surprising thing that I have ever found was cash totalling $72 dollars in the newly dried jean’s pocket of my 7 year old. Three twenties, a ten and two ones.
