My First Fondant Cake: SuperBowl Patriots

I love cake decorating and have recently started getting back into it. Fondant is completely new to me, but I decided to give it a go. I made this cake for our SuperBowl party tonight. It’s not perfect (I’m trying to ignore the couple things that are bugging me) but it still looks pretty neat (I think anyways) and it will taste good.

So here it is, my first fondant cake AND I did a frozen buttercream transfer. It’s 100% from scratch. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream inside, then homemade marshmallow fondant and more buttercream for the transfer (the Patriots logo.)

What do you think? (Be kind; remember it’s my first one, heehee. ;)

  6. Very nice! I’ve never heard of buttercream transfer. What a neat technique! I’ll have to add that to my list of things to try!

How cute, I can make tasty cakes, but I can’t do all the fun stuff with them. Guess eating is the most important to me.
